An Organic Community Farm & Social Prescribing Hub

Roots, Growth
& Community

A place where food, nature, and people come together. We grow fruit trees that nourish Oxford's colleges, and we are growing something just as important alongside them: a community rooted in care, wellbeing, and mutual support.

Cultivating Growth & Wellbeing

At Project Bagh, we grow more than food — we grow community. Nestled in Oxfordshire, our 100% organic farm brings heritage crops, restorative education, and social prescribing to life.

Bagh exists to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can develop, heal, and grow—at their own pace, and together.

Through our “Farm to Fork” partnership with the University of Oxford, and collaborations with local schools, restaurants, and community projects, we deliver fresh, seasonal produce while supporting wellbeing, diversity, and the local economy.

The Power of Community

Community at Project Bagh is not an audience — it is participation. It is shared harvest days, practical learning, quiet conversation between tasks, and the steady exchange of knowledge across generations.

Strength grows here in simple ways: through hands working side by side, through seasonal gatherings, through people feeling useful, welcome, and connected to something larger than themselves.

As the orchard matures, so too does the network around it — educators, growers, volunteers, neighbours, and families — each playing a part in sustaining both the land and one another.

Project Bagh exists because the community makes it possible. And in tending the orchard together, we cultivate resilience that reaches beyond the field.

Sustainability with a Soul

Our Farm to Fork partnerships and wider collaborations are built on a triple-bottom-line principle: restoring ecosystems, reinforcing local food economies, and fostering community wellbeing.

Environmental Stewardship

We believe that true flavour and nutrition begin with healthy soil.

  • 100% organic — zero synthetic pesticides or fertilisers
  • Active apiaries and diverse plantings act as a "green lung" for Oxfordshire
  • Zero-mile freshness — harvested and on the plate within the same day

Social Impact

Every piece of fruit sold to an Oxford College directly funds our social mission.

  • Social prescribing: a non-clinical sanctuary for mental health challenges
  • Free or subsidised nature-based learning for local schools
  • Community mentoring and restorative time in nature

Ethical Growth

We are committed to transparent, ethical expansion.

  • Land remains a "nurturing garden" first
  • Pace of production never compromises peace of the environment
  • Supporting a healthier, more resilient Oxfordshire

Rooted in Organic Principles

We believe you cannot have human health without soil health. By eschewing chemicals, we ensure that every child who handles our soil, every bee that visits our blossom, and every student who eats our fruit is interacting with nature in its purest form.

100% Organic

Zero synthetic inputs, protecting the delicate ecosystem of our fruit and nut trees.

Biodiversity at the Core

A vital habitat for pollinators and local wildlife across Oxfordshire.

Farm to Fork

Produce isn't just local; it's a testament to a cleaner, kinder way of farming.

The Orchard

Heritage red apples

Our vision has always been to embrace inclusion and diversity—not just in people, but in nature itself. We nurture rare and heritage varieties that you won't find on supermarket shelves, each with its own story, flavour, and character.

This orchard is more than land and trees. It is a living tribute to love—for growing and for the beauty that blooms when we nurture difference.
